
Marketing Tools Available!
Don't forget to take advantage of the many resources that the ACBL's Marketing Department has available for clubs and teachers to help market the game of bridge. In addition to the popular Cooperative Advertising Program (mentioned above), you may find one or more of the following helpful to market your club and/or bridge class.
Weekly Bridge Articles - (a resource that has the potential to become a vehicle for free advertising as well as an educational tool for clubs/teachers). Request more information from marketing@acbl.org.
Discounts - Remember that as an ACBL member you are entitled to a 35% print discount on 8-1/2 x 11 black and white and color printing at FedEx Office. The discount number is 0119614236. OfficeMax also offers discounts to the ACBL for printing and other products - discounts may vary by location and item. Discount cards for FedEx Office and OfficeMax are available on the ACBL web site at http://www.acbl.org/join/memberbenefits.html.
Online Tips & Tricks - A compilation of real life success stories from clubs and teachers. Sample topics include "How to Introduce New Players to Duplicate Bridge," Increasing Class/Workshop Attendance," "Attracting New Members," and "Event Ideas." These tips are located on the ACBL web site at http://www.acbl.org/marketing/tips.html.
Promotional Materials - A wealth of marketing materials are available (free of charge) to clubs/teachers to assist in the recruiting/selling/teaching of the game of bridge. Contact Marketing@acbl.org. The following materials make great handouts at local Senior and/or Youth fairs, tradeshows, "open-house" events, etc.:
- "Exciting Wold of Bridge - Welcome to Your First Duplicate Game" - a brochure to aid players in their first duplicate game.
- "Learn to Play Bridge 1 & 2 - free software available on CD
- ACBL bookmarks
- "Your Best Partner in Bridge" - a brochure that gives an overview of the ACBL as well as the benefits of playing bridge
- Youth Promotional DVD - great for showing young people to help pique their interest in learning to play bridge
