A quick note from Camille Morrison our Community Outreach Coordinator:
Dear Edward and Bridge Boardroom friends,
Thank you for your generous support of the SOAR collection! The Bridge Boardroom players are a caring group of people! I collected $20.00 in cash and over 5 boxes of food and toiletries! I dropped off the donations last Thursday evening and they will be used for Valentine Day care packages. Please send me names and addresses of any family members or friends who are currently deployed. I will forward the information to the SOAR organization.
Your generosity towards deployed military is most
humbling and this Marine mom is truly grateful! Camille
Thanks to all who supported the troops and to you
Camille for all you do!!
Do not forget to support the Harrisburg Sectional Jan. 27-29
See you at the club,

White Rose Bridge Club
Thanks to Carl Fahnestock,Mary Dean and John Albright, White Rose Bridge Club offered some great lessons in 2011. John's 3 week series on competitive bidding was well received by many which indicates we can never learn too much. Mary picked up where Carl left off and is working hard to interest new players and to keep them interested, she is offering a new 10 week series beginning in 2012.
For our holiday party in December everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the Hospitality Committee, and a wealth of wonderful desserts donated by members. We will have our first Mystery Swiss of 2012 in January. This game continues to be popular and to provide a fun day for players of all levels. The Mystery Swiss is scheduled for all 5th Sundays, and everyone is welcome----you do not need a partner, but would be a good idea to sign up in order to arrange the teams as equally as possible.

Did you know that Apricot Sundae is in the Bridge Glossary?
Apricot sundae
(slang) a weak heart-diamond two-suiter (from "a red, sticky, unappetizing mess")
So the next time you are looking at 5 or moree hearts and 5 or more diamonds and very few points in the same hand.
you are holding an Apricot Sundae at the Bridge Table.
Who wouldve thought?
