The ACBL Educational Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in l987 to get more people of all ages and walks of life playing bridge. To achieve its mission, the Foundation awards grants for new bridge education programs. Contributions to the Foundation come from individuals, families, and corporations.
The business of the Foundation is administered by a nine-member Board of Trustees. Three Trustees are elected each fall to a three-year term -- one from the ACBL Board of Directors and two from the membership at large. Trustees serve without compensation or reimbursement for food, travel, or lodging. Any ACBL member in good standing may be (self) nominated to be elected as a Trustee of the Educational Foundation.
